One Volume is a live music guide and digital magazine for Wollongong, NSW. This page explains what we collect when you use the site or send us something, what we do with it, and your choices. We try to collect as little as we can.
What we collect
What you send us through our forms. That can include your name, email, band or event name, venue, dates, ticket and music links, photos and files, and anything you write in your answers. The forms are run by Tally, and a copy of each submission is emailed to us.
Emails you send us. If you email onevolumeau@gmail.com, we keep the conversation.
Basic technical information. When you visit, our hosting and error-tracking services may record things like your IP address, browser, device and the pages you open. We use this to keep the site running and fix problems.
What we don’t do. We don’t run advertising or analytics trackers, and we don’t sell your information. The site doesn’t have public accounts. Our sign-in provider and the embedded forms may set the cookies they need to work.
What we use it for
- To reply to you and work out gigs, stories, interviews, reviews, merch or anything else you ask about.
- To put together the gig guide and stories. Things you send us to promote (band name, show details, links, photos) may be published on this site and on our social media, with a photo credit when you give us one.
- To run and look after the site.
Please only send us photos and material you have the right to share, and tell us who to credit.
Who it is shared with
We use a few services to run the site. They handle information on our behalf:
- Tally, for the forms you fill in.
- Resend, to deliver form submissions to our inbox by email.
- Vercel, to host the site.
- Turso, for the database that holds our stories and gig listings (not visitor details).
- Sentry, to track errors on the site.
- Clerk, for the team sign-in used to manage the site.
Some of these services keep information on servers outside Australia, such as in the United States. We don’t share your information with anyone else unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep form submissions and emails for as long as we need them to run One Volume, then delete them. If you want yours deleted sooner, just ask.
Your choices
You can ask to see what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. Email onevolumeau@gmail.com and we’ll sort it out. If you aren’t happy with how we’ve handled your information, you can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes
If we change this page we’ll update the date at the top.
